At Stewart Elementary, March was celebrated as "Love to Read" month and this included theme dress up days during the month that coordinated with different Dr. Seuss books. After reading My Many Colored Days by Dr. Seuss, our final dress up day involved each grade level wearing a different color.

Too Many Daves at Stewart! PDF Print E-mail

Did you ever hear of the day, that all students at Stewart School were all named DAVE????? The entire school read the story, "Too Many Daves" by Dr. Seuss and celebrated by having everyone in the whole building wear a name sticker today labeled Dave.

The REAL DAVES had their picture taken at Stewart. Included are Dave Hoffman, Dave Plyman, Dave Sextro, David (student), Dave Hotle, and Dave Henderson.

Ted Stewart - KCRG's "9 Who Care" PDF Print E-mail


Mr. Ted Stewart is a volunteer at Stewart Elementary. He has been selected as one of KCRG’s “9 WHO CARE” which annually honors outstanding volunteerism in Eastern Iowa. He received a $500 charity award that he has donated to Stewart Elementary. He currently helps 2nd and 3rd graders with math each day. Mr. Stewart will be featured in a special segment honoring all “9 WHO CARE” recipients on Saturday, February 13 at 6:30 p.m. on KCRG Channel 9.   • Educational Games (art room)
  • Cookie Decorating (gym)

Please come spend 10, 20 or 90 minutes having family fun!

Stewart Book Fair PDF Print E-mail

Stewart Elementary School is having its annual book fair on Thursday, October 22, and Tuesday, October 27.  Everyone is invited to come, browse, and purchase books.  The book fair will be open from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. each day.  The book fair will be in the school’s media center.  Profits from the book fair will be used to purchase new hardcover books for the school’s media center.
