Coming to Washington Area Performing Arts and Events Center PDF Print E-mail

Friday, April 12, 7:30 p.m.

The SONS OF SERENDIP, a multi-talented quartet, will perform in Washington, Friday, April 12, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. at Washington Area Performing Arts and Event Center. The Washington Concert Association and The Washington Area Performing Arts and Events Center are co-sponsoring this event.

The SONS OF SERENDIP came together in graduate school at Boston University. Their name comes from the notion that “serendipity brought us together.”  Each member has an inspiring story, and together they strive to embody the adjectives Classy, Genuine, Spiritual, Sensitive and Timeless.

Tenor Micah Christian was a teacher, keyboardist Cordaro Rodriguez was an attorney, cellist Kendall Ramseur was a cello instructor, and harpist Mason Morton was a teacher.  In 2014, they were 4th place finalists on America’s Got Talent, which launched their musical career. They were invited back to perform on AGT: Champions in February this year.

Their concert program focuses on contemporary music as well as familiar pop tunes from Motown.  All numbers feature Micha’s beautiful tenor voice accompanied by Cordaro, Kendall, (also the backup singer) and Mason. Their music provides an interesting combination of voice and instruments producing a rich, melodic sound.

High School age and under will be admitted free.  Washington Concert Association members may use their season tickets for admission. For more information about this event and for general admission ticket sales, go online to WashingtonAuditorium.org. Tickets are also on sale at the Washington Chamber of Commerce two weeks before the event, and at the box office one hour before the show begins.
