Public Art Sculptures PDF Print E-mail

Before winter break, the fifth graders at Lincoln Elementary completed a sculpture project. The students learned about sculpture, but more specifically about public sculpture and that many more people can be exposed to this type of art. Each section of fifth grade created a class sculpture consisting of a many pieces of foam board. Each student painted a piece that was assembled into a whole sculpture. The end result was a brightly-colored, abstract work of art. All the sculptures were on display at the fifth grade concert, at Lincoln and now in some of our local businesses. Thank you to the following for allowing the sculptures to be on display: Washington State Bank, Washington County Hospital and Clinics, Mercy Family Medicine of Washington, Washington Public Library and West Chester Savings Bank.
