Recently, Business Professionals of America (BPA) met in Des Moines, Iowa, for the BPA State Leadership Conference. Thirty-four Washington High School members competed in 16 events (BPA offers over 50 competitions). We are proud of the many students who placed and will advance on to National Leadership Conference in May in Anaheim, California. Students who qualified for Nationals are as follows: Advanced Office Systems & Procedures– Macy M-1st, Jeff K-3rd; Advanced Spreadsheet– Shannon P-3rd, Emma W-4th; Advanced Word Processing Skills– Morgan K-5th; Basic Office Systems & Procedures– Makenna G-3rd; Extemporaneous Speaking– Brooke S-2nd; Integrated Office Applications– Jeff K-3rd, Brenna W-4th, Morgan K-5th; and the Parliamentary Procedure Team was 2nd (team members are: Grant M, McKenna B, Macy M, Kaitlin H & Amber S).
Other members were also called on stage for making the top 10 but did not automatically move on to compete at Nationals.
