Census 2010—It’s in our Hands

You will learn everything that you ever wanted to know about the United States Census in this kid friendly presentation. A representative from the census will be here to tell us why the census is important and how the government uses the census information.

Iowa Trivia

What’s the state rock of Iowa?  If you knew that the answer was the geode, then this is the session for you!  We have created an Iowa trivia game that will test your knowledge and is sure to be a lot of fun also!

Social Studies Board Games

We have collected a few of our favorite social studies board games, and now we’re giving you the opportunity to take on your friends, family, and even some teachers!

Websites

There are many kid friendly social studies websites and we have put together a list of a few of our favorites.  During this session, you will have the opportunity to go on-line and try out a few websites.  Everyone will receive a handout with a list of websites.

COME JOIN THE FUN!
