On Thursday, April 29 (9:35 am), all Junior High students will be attending a special presentation on bullying in the gymnasium at Washington Junior High.  Parents are invited to attend as well.  WJH and QSP, Inc. will host Mark Brown (nationally acclaimed youth speaker) to present “Words Count.  The program talks about schoolyard bullying, cyber-bullying and the importance of tolerance and respect.   Brown encourages students to take a look at roles (bully/victim/bystander) and promotes them to build respect in their school and community.

Brown’s Emmy-nominated presentation “Words Count,” is part of a national outreach program against bullying, sponsored by QSP, Inc., the educational fundraising arm of Time, Inc.  QSP has raised close to $3 billion for school and youth groups in the United States and Canada since it was founded in 1964.  The company supports numerous educational activities that go beyond fundraising- like this speaker program featuring Mark Brown.
